Senator Stevens moved the bill be returned to second reading for the purpose of a specific amendment, that being Amendment No. 1. Without objection, the bill was returned to second reading. Senator Stevens offered Amendment No. 1 : Page 6, line 30, following "fishery.": Insert "A permit holder seeking to harvest shellfish in a special harvest area through a common property fishery shall notify the Department of Revenue by July 1 of the year preceding the year for which the harvest is sought." Page 7, line 31: Delete "annually by March 1," Page 8, line 1, following "area": Insert "on an annual basis" 2022-04-25 Senate Journal Page 2412 Page 8, line 3, following "fishermen.": Insert "The Department of Revenue shall set an annual assessment under this section not later than January 1 of that year." Senator Stevens moved for the adoption of Amendment No. 1. Without objection, Amendment No. 1 was adopted. SENATE CS FOR CS FOR HOUSE BILL NO. 41(FIN) am S was automatically in third reading. Senator Wilson moved and asked unanimous consent to abstain from voting due to a conflict of interest. Objections were heard and Senator Wilson was required to vote. Without objection, it was so ordered and the bill was referred to the Secretary for engrossment.
